From May 26 to 29, the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú participated in the NAFSA 2026 Annual Conference & Expo, the world’s leading event dedicated to the internationalization of higher education, held this year in Orlando, United States.

Each year, this event brings together more than 10,000 representatives from universities, international organizations, and higher education institutions from over 100 countries. The conference is one of the main spaces for exchanging experiences, identifying global trends, and building strategic partnerships that advance international academic cooperation.

At this year’s conference, PUCP was represented by Claudia Valdivieso, Head of Student Mobility at the Academic Office for Institutional Relations (DARI). PUCP participated alongside the institutions that make up the Consortium of Universities: Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, Universidad de Lima, and Universidad del Pacífico.

During the event, opportunities for collaboration were identified to strengthen student and faculty mobility, promote double degree programs, and expand academic exchange and internationalization networks. PUCP’s participation in NAFSA also helped enhance the University’s international visibility, consolidate ties with partner institutions across different regions of the world, and explore new cooperation initiatives aligned with the University’s strategic priorities.

Through its participation in NAFSA 2026, PUCP reaffirms its commitment to an internationalization approach that expands academic opportunities for its university community, strengthens international cooperation, and promotes higher education that is increasingly connected to the challenges and opportunities of a global context.
