On September 14, a meeting was held between the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) and Renmin University of China. The meeting was organized by the Office of Institutional Affairs (DARI), through its Asia Relations office, in coordination with the University’s Protocol office. The meeting aimed to explore new areas of academic cooperation between both institutions. As part of this effort, the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was renewed, allowing PUCP and Renmin University to continue strengthening their collaboration.
Representing PUCP, the meeting was attended by Dr. Julio del Valle, Rector; Dr. María Antonieta Delgado, Director of the Academic Directorate of Institutional Relations; Mg. Óscar Pain, Director of the Academic Affairs Directorate; Dr. Roberto Reynoso, Secretary General; Dr. Jalh Dulanto, Professor of Archaeology; Dr. Óscar Vidarte, Professor of International Relations; Mr. Rubén Tang, Head of the Office of Relations with Asia; Mr. César Miranda, Coordinator of the Office of Relations with Asia; Mr. Juan Paz, Assistant at the Office of Relations with Asia; and Dr. Julio Cáceda, Advisor to the Rector.
Representing Renmin University, the meeting was attended by Prof. Ma Huaide, President; Ms. Zhang Damiao, Director of the Office of International Exchanges and Cooperation; Prof. Pang Jun, Dean of the School of Ecology and Environment; Mr. Zhang Yuming, Deputy Director of the President’s Office; Prof. Zhu Hu, Vice Dean of the RUC School of Law; and Ms. He Jin, Coordinator of the Office of International Exchanges and Cooperation.
The renewal of this agreement marks another step toward strengthening the relationship between both universities and opens up opportunities to continue promoting joint academic initiatives. These meetings also reaffirm PUCP’s commitment to internationalization by expanding its ties with higher education institutions in Asia and creating new opportunities for exchange and cooperation for its university community.
