From August 10 to 22, Anthony Lupo and Analucía Mendoza, students from the Faculty of Administration and Executive Management and the Faculty of Science and Engineering, respectively, at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), participated as scholarship recipients in the Summer Camp at the prestigious Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT). The university is recognized as one of Taiwan’s leading private universities of technology, known for its high employment rates and strong ties to industry.
The Summer Camp offers students from different parts of the world the opportunity to discover the tourist attractions of Taipei, learn about Mandarin culture, and visit some of the most representative sites in northern Taiwan. It also allows them to experience firsthand MCUT’s educational facilities and cutting-edge research centers.
For Anthony Lupo, participating in the program was an opportunity to broaden his academic and personal perspective through an enriching exchange with young people from different parts of the world.
Being able to represent PUCP in Taiwan was an honorable experience that encouraged me to further develop both academically and personally. Sharing projects, ideas, and dreams with young people from different parts of the world broadened my perspective and changed the way I viewed everything I knew. Through this exchange, I was able to reaffirm the importance of connecting different cultures through our knowledge and values. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity and proud to carry the university’s values into such an enriching environment.

The MCUT Summer Camp allowed me to learn firsthand about the university’s different research departments and the technological projects they are developing. It was very interesting to discover the facilities and tools they use. In addition, the basic Chinese classes helped us learn more about the local culture. Sharing this experience with students from different countries and exploring the city together made the program even more special.
