On August 12, we welcomed 165 international students who are joining our university community for the 2026-2 semester to enjoy a rewarding academic and cultural experience on our campus. They join three students who are continuing their exchange from the previous term, bringing our international community to a total of 168 students this semester.
As every semester, the welcome program was supported by the PUCP Buddy Program, a volunteer initiative through which PUCP students accompany and guide incoming international students throughout their exchange experience. The orientation also included a campus tour, giving new students the opportunity to become familiar with key university spaces and begin adapting to academic and student life at PUCP.
The countries with the largest number of international students this semester are France, Spain, Germany, the United States, the Netherlands, and Mexico. We also welcomed students from the United Kingdom, Colombia, Japan, Sweden, South Korea, and many other countries. The presence of students from diverse backgrounds strengthens the international dimension of our university and enriches the educational experience of the entire PUCP community.
