International Week 2025-1 took place from March 17 to 22, the week before the start of the academic year. It offered students the opportunity to internationalize their education without leaving home and earn academic credits through courses taught by international professors.
This program is part of PUCP’s three “internationalization at home” initiatives (which also include courses in English and courses with COIL modules).
The purpose of International Week is to expose students to new global perspectives and approaches, as well as to foster knowledge exchange and the development of a comprehensive education in an enriching academic environment. It also provides the opportunity to experience international opportunities in a simpler and more accessible way during the holidays.
In this edition, 892 students chose to participate in a total of 28 international courses, distributed across the following faculties:
This edition was notable for the expansion of the number of courses offered (three more than in 2024-2021), which has achieved greater diversity in the academic offerings.
In this regard, Allison Betancourt, head of the Academic Internationalization Section, highlights the following:
Faculty participation has been very active. Thirteen of the 15 faculties have offered interdisciplinary courses that have captured student interest. We have noted high expectations for the varied course offerings, which has translated into increased enrollment.
There are always different and interesting courses, and if you have the opportunity to take one in the summer, take advantage of it!
