This week, we welcomed a group of students and faculty members from Yale University, United States, as part of its tailor-made short courses designed for international partner institutions.
The group, composed of 14 students and 2 professors, will stay in Peru for five weeks participating in an academic and cultural program specially developed in coordination with Yale University. Throughout the program, participants will attend classes, lectures and field-based learning experiences focused on Peruvian culture, heritage, sustainability and society.
On their first day at PUCP, the participants toured the campus, met their PUCP buddies, attended their first classes and took part in integration activities.
The program will also include academic visits and cultural immersion experiences beyond Lima, including a week in Cusco and activities connected to initiatives such as MIL in Moray, led by renowned Peruvian chef Virgilio Martínez, as well as visits related to the Andean Baroque Route.
PUCP’s tailor-made programs are academic experiences developed at the request of institutions from around the world and adapted to their specific educational interests and objectives. These programs combine academic coursework with cultural activities, site visits and opportunities for intercultural exchange, allowing international students to engage with Peru through an immersive and interdisciplinary experience.
The visit from Yale University reflects PUCP’s ongoing commitment to internationalization and to fostering meaningful academic and cultural exchange between students and faculty from different parts of the world.
