In 2025-2021, we will have 85 international exchange students and 106 mobility students from the Peruvian University Network on our PUCP campus.
Last Wednesday, March 19th, we welcomed exchange students at an event that, for the first time, brought together both international and RPU students in a unified welcome. On this special occasion, we were joined by PUCP Rector Dr. Julio del Valle and the Academic Director of Institutional Relations, María Antonieta Delgado, who highlighted the importance of academic exchange and the integration of students into university life at PUCP.
The purpose of the event was to create a meeting place for national and international exchange students, promoting recognition and appreciation of the diversity of those who come to PUCP from universities in different regions of Peru and around the world. During the event, key information was shared to facilitate their adaptation to university life, including the services offered by PUCP and the opportunities available through student organizations, presented by Mayerli Ayala, representative to the University Assembly (RPU Commission).
Additionally, the goal was to enable students to meet and establish connections that would contribute to their mobility experience, recognizing themselves as part of a diverse community that enriches the academic and cultural life of the campus.
“Welcome to all our students, both international and from various regions of Peru! This has been a very special occasion, as for the first time we have welcomed two groups that enrich PUCP with their diversity. The students, from different corners of the world and Peru, had the opportunity to meet, share experiences, and learn from one another. This gathering not only strengthens the sense of community and internationalization, but also fosters respect and appreciation for different cultures, a fundamental pillar of our institution.”
Claudia Valdivieso Head of Student Mobility
"The welcoming ceremony was an expression of a university with a sense of national identity and global outreach. It was evident that we are a university with authorities who engage with students, who, in turn, promote independent initiatives across a broad spectrum of interests. The students we welcome arrive at a university where comprehensive education is based on academic rigor, but is complemented by other educational experiences, including the arts, sports, and interaction with other young people. We are confident that the 2025-I semester will provide them with unforgettable experiences."
Martín Carrillo Calle Head of the Red Peruana de UniversidadesWith this initiative, we reaffirm our commitment to internationalization and interuniversity cooperation, promoting a learning space open to the exchange of knowledge and diverse perspectives, for the benefit of our entire academic community.
